Research interests:
Towards a more autonomous robotic arm using 3D computer vision. In visual servoing I study the possibilities of structured light using a projector. We use Bayesian methods, and plan to integrate 2D vision features and other sensors.Publications

Software
I mostly use OpenCV for vision processing. Here are some more or less minimal test programs (with Linux makefiles) that might be useful, comments are welcome.
One of the more interesting discoveries of my PhD is a method to generate rotationally invariant 2D spatial neighbourhood patterns with a specified minimal Hamming distance. My thesis contains the pseudocode, and here is a C++ implementation
